The Logo for Michael P. Walsh & Associates is based on a hexagram from the ancient I Ching, or Book of Changes, written in China some 2,500 years ago, and still in use as a source of wisdom and guidance. This hexagram is considered the first of 64, and is termed "The Creative".
According to the authoritative Wilhelm translation of the I Ching, the message of "The Creative" is as follows:
"The Creative works sublime Success,
Furthering through perseverance.
The movement of heaven is full of power.
Thus the wise man makes himself strong and untiring."
Finally, by changing the red or "broken" line to a double stroke, the hexagram changes to number 13, Fellowship with Men. The message here reads:
"True fellowship among men must be based upon a concern that is universal. It is not the private interests of the individual that create lasting fellowship among men, but rather the goals of Humanity"
